My Way...There is NO Highway Option

So...over the past week I have taken time to reflect on my life and lets be honest I am not a huge fan of what I am seeing. I fell off the deep end as I have told you before and it took A LOT for me to pull myself back out of it. But I have done it I am back on a clean eating diet and working out at the gym twice a day! It has been fun I am preparing for a show in September and I am so excited about it right now. I am taking this opportunity to do things my way and know that there is no highway option. I will succeed and reach these goals no ice cream, cookies, or pies will get in my way! I am ready to step on stage in my purple bikini again and rock it. There is just something so incredibly magical about being able to fulfill a dream and to be able to be in the best shape of your life to do it. At the moment I am completely OBSESSED with Instagram it is so much fun to post pics and to follow others and to get inspired. If you have an instagram and want to follow me or want me to follow you give me a shout out my instagram is @akundis. Also I would like to share my  new favorite recipe right now that I am semi-obsessed with and that is protein pancakes. They are delicious I got this recipe from proteinpow.com but kind of put my own twist I guess you could say to it. I made it a little more simple since I am not eating fruit at the moment so mine is

Protein Pancakes:

1/4 cup Oat Flour
1/4 cup Chocolate or Vanilla Whey Protein
3 Egg Whites
Mix all together
Put on a skillet over medium heat (makes about 3 pancakes)
Add a few chocolate chips if you want on top then flip...

I also added something truly delicious which is
1/4 cup Sugar Free Syrup
1 Tbsp Organic Peanut Butter Powder
Heat in the microwave for 30-40 secs
Pour on Top
Love, LoVe, LOVE!

This is the yumminess without the syrup! Tomorrow I will have chocolate ones! <3 Hit me up on instagram.

The Ugly Truths

Alright my friends who read this here it is my big fat ugly truth...I know I have been gone for a month and guess what it shows...I took may off and basically ran ramped with food like ice cream and sweets and in one month probably gained 10 pounds. I am disappointed in myself but at the same time I think I needed my break. This bikini business was the hardest thing I have ever done and I needed to know that when it was over I could just eat and relax and so I did. But now I am back on track for real this time because in August/ September (the date hasnt been posted yet) I am going to go pro or at least try! And my training starts now. May was a difficult month for me and I caved to almost every temptation I wanted until I realized something...the food really isnt that great. I would eat it and it was disappointing every single time it just didn't taste as good as my mind had made me think it was and I think that was good for me to realize ya know what Annie? It just is not that great and you like your food better. Every one slips up sometimes and I had to fall down to be able to rebuild myself and make myself a better person and a more dedicated person. It is hard to go from seeing your body in shape to suddenly 10 lbs heavier which doesnt seem like much but on a person who only weighs 122 it shows! But enough with that I am back on track and I have found some fun recipes and different things that actually taste better than any fast food/ junk food I have had all month. I know people probably think I am lying but really the healthy stuff just tastes better and is so much more filling. This morning I had the most delicious breakfast! It was a chocolate peanutbutter banana waffle and it was only 210 calories (for 2 waffles) which was DELICIOUS! There are so many things you can do to still eat healthy and enjoy what you are eating its just a matter of experimenting in the kitchen and looking up recipes. Another thing that has helped me A TON is Instagram it is amazing. I am following some of the most amazing people and they inspire me in the morning to get up and get going and kick butt! If you don't have instagram get it just to follow people who are training for things like you! If you want to follow  me my instagram name is akundis pretty simple. So the ugly truth here is that sometimes people are weak and sometimes we aren't 100% perfect but its those things that will rebuild a person and should make you come back stronger and fight harder to reach your goal. Anyone can do this you just have to put your mind to it and know that your end goal is worth every bit of sweat, tears, asparagus, and chicken that you have. Go out there and reach your goal. The saying that gets me through my workouts is this: You've gotta want it to win it, and I WANT IT MORE! Go reach your goals!
